"Stand Up" is a song by rapper Ludacris featuring rapper Shawnna & produced by rapper & producer Kanye West released as the second single from his fourth album, Chicken-n-Beer, on August 19, 2003 while co-production was helmed by Ludacris himself, both of whom wrote the song. Stand Up became both Ludacris' & Shawnna's first #1 on the Hot 100 in December 2003 staying for a week after Beyonce's "Baby Boy" featuring Sean Paul spent 9 weeks at the top. It was then succeeded by Outkast's "Hey Ya!" the following week.
