"Somewhere Now" is the opening track to Green Day's twelfth studio album, Revolution Radio. Most of this song would be used in a later track, called "Forever Now". While the song expresses a tone of upbeat epicness, the lyrical content talks about dealing with boredom and trying your hardest to remain happy. The author is currently in a position where he has to sacrifice his own happiness to achieve the goals he thought would make him happy. He becomes wrapped up in politics but slowly realizes that it's not worth worrying about everything.
