Another interpretation of this line could be that Owain is trying to warn the listener that hiding your emotions and letting ‘the tears build up for years’ will only result in them not getting the attention they need and being forgotten about (see ‘Cause no one will notice you’). In this final, repeating message, Owain warns that the song's subject may find themselves being forgotten
