It was written by Katy Perry, Vin Rock, Kay Gee, Ferras, Benny Golson, Anthony Criss, Josh Abraham, Starrah and Oligee. It was produced by Josh Abraham and Oligee. On April 12, 2020, a snippet of the track was leaked, and, on May 5, 2020, a version of the track, featuring rapper Diddy, was leaked. On July 8, 2020, Perry started an online challenge so the fans could see the KP5 cover and finally discover its title.
