"Slowtown" is a upbeat song where Tyler sings about childhood memories until he misses those times and pleads time to slow down as he wants to stay a carefree child. Though the song was never reworked for the Vessel album, it was reimagined as the band's biggest hit "Stressed Out" where the themes were similar to the former track. Both songs has themes of yearning of being a child again, growing up too fast, and mental health.
