This is a cover of a song by The 13th Floor Elevators. The cover is very different from the original version. The song is sung by the band’s then-guitarist, Robert ‘Throb’ Young, as opposed to Bobby Gillespie. Gillespie stated in his memoir, Tenement Kid, that he was too wasted to perform at the time, which is why he didn’t sing on the track.
