"Shut Up Kiss Me" is the second single on Angel Olsen’s third album "My Woman" (2016), it is an electric guitar-driven song in the vein of previous tracks “Forgiven/Forgotten” and “Hi-Five”. It also serves a nice contrast to the synth-laced crooning of the other advance single “Intern” while showcasing Olsen’s vocals and guitar playing as even more relentless and defiant than in the purest rock tracks of her previous album, but nevertheless maintaining and expanding of her recurrent subjects: the fallout of a relationship
