Released in December of 1985, "Secret Lovers" was the third single from Atlantic Starr's sixth album, As the Band Turns. The single peaked at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Adult Contemporary Charts, #1 in Canada, #3 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and #10 on the UK Official Charts. Billboard Magazine ranked "Secret Lovers" as the 12th biggest single of 1986 in the United States.
