“Second Chances” is the third track of Gregory Alan Isakov’s 2013 album The Weatherman. Isakov shed some light on the songwriting process for “Second Chances” in a blog interview, saying: “We wrote a song called “Second Chances” together and so he has that like…you know, on the mandolin one day and he’s just playing it and… (sings) “If weren’t for second chances, we’d all be alone,” you know, on the mandolin, and I was like, I didn’t even know you played the mandolin! (laughs).
