Scumbag is the eighth track to Green Day's special compilation album, Shenanigans. The origin of the song is its appearance as a B-side on the "Warning" single, appearing on multiple versions of the release like the 2nd CD version and on a very limited card sleeve version of the song. It would then be used later as the second song on the American Pie 2 soundtrack for the movie of the same name. It's also one of only two songs in Shenanigans where bassist Mike Dirnt would be credited for the songwriting, rather than Billie Joe Armstrong.
