In this song, Keem raps about not only his religion, but why the people he loves leave him with conflicting emotions. He tries to subtly blame it on God making these choices to love people, asking why it is so hard to find love. The song also samples Kanye West’s “Love Lockdown” found on “808s & Heartbreak.” In a 2021 interview with The Rap Pack, he credits “808s” as a major inspiration for his interest in music.
