“Scarred” is the second track from Giveon's debut studio album Give Or Take. Even if the other person wants the “relationship” to work, Giveon knows better and knows he hasn’t healed yet, telling her it’s his fault, not hers. As stated in his interview with Apple that is exactly what this song is about. Being with someone after a breakup is easier than being alone, even though you know it’s not going to last because you’re still “scarred”.
