Drawing on Hall & Oates samples, this tune was De La's second Top 10 UK hit single (if memory serves me) - it followed the seminal track "Me, Myself & I", which was where I came to meet the music of the Native Tongues tribe. Hailing from south coastal England myself, I had nothing in common as a teenager with De La, who come from LI, New York. Long Island sounds like my kind of place, as illustrated in De La's album "Stakes Is High". I guess Say No Go was a political music video and Postdnoous, Masio & Trugoy .
