On April 24, 2024, Anitta revealed via the streaming service Spotify that this would be the thirteenth track on the album. The song had its first performance on April 25, 2024 at the 2024 Latin American Music Awards. The song was officially released on all digital platforms on April 26, 2024 along with the album. Later that day, Anitta said during a press conference that “Sabana” is her favorite song on the album.
