"Run Runaway" was written by English band Slade members Jim Lea and Noddy Holder. Slade's version is as a hard rock track. Canadian folk-rock band Great Big Sea recorded this cover of the song on their album Up. It was the first song by Great Big Sea to get significant exposure.
