‘Rosie’ is the tenth song from John Mayer’s The Search for Everything and forms a perfect follow-up song to ‘Never On The Day You Leave’, which is about realizing what you had, after losing it. ‘Rosie’ is about regretting breaking up with somebody, but realising that just a little bit late. Rosie is the name of the ex-girlfriend of the narrator of the song. The narrator shows up at her door, drunk and heartbroken, and asks for her to take him back.
