"Road Song started off as just a guitar part I had for a few years, in an open tuning. I just liked it and I had the challenge of writing a song for a performance at Frank Lloyd Wright's 140th Birthday Celebration. I had this poem by Walt Whitman titled 'Song of the Open Road', Frank Lloyd Wright liked Whitman and so do, so I read this poem like 20 times. I just picked up my guitar, and for some reason the melody I had was the only thing I could play, so I just started reflecting on what I had read and Road Song came out." - Nick Mancusi
