Solange is saying be who you are, flipping the normal connotation that accompanies the similar phrase “stuck in your ways.” Being in your ways here is turned on its head and is a nod to the overall theme of the album as a “journey of self-empowerment.” The repetition here works as a tool to emphasize that each day you will wake up as the same person; each day you’ll have to work through things and each day you’ll go to sleep to do it all over again.
