“Red Desert” is the first track of 5 Seconds Of Summer’s fourth studio album, CALM, and had its first performance on January 2020 at G'Day USA. The band has revealed on some interviews that this song is about spiritual enlightenment, and is also very special for the band members because they were the main writers of it. The song also references the Simpson Desert, which is famous for having a red sand. It’s located in Australia, which is the country where all the band members are from.
