The song provides various references to Ethan’s solo Project, Toy Bastard. According to a article written by Hell Gate, the song pays homage to prophets like Brian Wilson. “Near the album’s end, [Ives] sang co-lead on a song with Toledo, who dedicated the song to "prophets” like Brian Wilson, who “lived in the darkness.
