"Puppy love" is the twelfth and final track on Perfume's first studio album (second overall), "GAME". The lyrics describe the uncertainty of a new relationship and staying hopeful that it will last, despite the frustrations regarding their partner's contradictory hot-and-cold behaviour. It is one of only two songs from the album that were not included in its promotional tour, "Perfume First Tour "GAME"" - the other being "plastic smile".
