Marjory Kennedy Fraser was a composer and song collector most active around the turn of the twentieth century. She visited the Scottish islands documenting folk songs on wax cylinders that would later form the basis of Songs of the Hebrides. These two Hebridean folk songs were first encountered on a dusty 78, performed by her daughter Patuffa and accompanied by Celtic harp. Pulling the Sea Dulse is a working tune detailing the harvest seaweed at the shore.
