Positivity is the ninth and final song on Prince's tenth album Lovesexy. In 1993, a newly-recorded version by Mavis Staples was included as the twelfth and final track on her second Paisley Park Records album The Voice, and was included as the 13th and final track when the album was re-released by NPG Records in 1995. Initial tracking took place on 11 December 1987 at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN (the same day as No). An unreleased version contains a rap by Cat which was held over from Cindy C.
