"Pornography" is a song by The Cure. Released in May 1982, it is considered the pinnacle of "The Dark Trilogy", three albums that gradually increase in anger and isolation as the albums go by. The Dark Trilogy consists of Seventeen Seconds, Faith and Pornography. The song starts off with a reversed sample of jumbled voices recorded off the television and radio one night. Smith has stated that the only distinguishable voice in the sample is Germaine Greer's.
