"Play" is the lead single by rapper David Banner from his fourth studio album Certified released on July 7, 2005 & produced by Mr. Collipark. Play slowly climbed into the top 10 of Hot 100 at #10 on the chart week of October 1, 2005, it soon peaked at #7 later in October 2005, remaining his sole top 10 hit and his best-performing single. Play remains David Banner's most successful and best-selling single to date. An alternate version, entitled the "Canadian Mix", features rappers Kardinal Offishall and Solitair.
