“Place to Be“ is the second track from Nick Drake's third and final studio album, Pink Moon. It tells the story of a man looking back on his youth and days of the past that were unburdened with the realities of the world. It was a world, it seems, in which Nick Drake found it difficult to find a place to exist peacefully. It is a song about youth, age, neurasthenia, and about the way colors change in the world around us when we look at it through different lenses.
