“Perfect World“ is the third track from Simple Plan's sophomore studio album, Still Not Getting Any..., which was released in 2004. The music video was officially uploaded in 2006. In the DVD for the album, drummer Chuck Comeau mentions the meaning of the song: “The first time you listen to it, you’re gonna think that it’s a break-up song… that it’s about a girl, that it’s about someone who left you. But really there’s something else going on.
