"Patience" is the opening and title track to George Michael's final album Patience. An instrumental version of song called, "Patience (Pt. 2)", appears as last track of the album. Both were written, produced and arranged by George Michael. Accompanied only by a piano, the song lyrically continues with the some of the anti-war themes on the album. The Chicago Tribune described it as "ballad about feeling blinkered by the war machine." As one of the last tracks written and recorded for the album
