Having kept a relatively low profile since their last album, 2013's Hummingbird, Local Natives April 2016 returned with "Past Lives". Their first new song in three years, the band unveiled the song at a surprise show in San Francisco. Here's what guitarist/vocalist Taylor Rice had to say about the song in a press release: "The world is not static, it's made new over and over again. But we tend to live the same patterns in a loop, loving the same way, wrestling the same demons, the same dynamics playing out around us again and again.
