“Passing Me By” was the most successful single by hip hop group the Pharcyde. It hit #53 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Billboard Hot Rap Tracks in 1993. It also had significant airplay on Modern Rock/Alternative stations in the United States, a rare accomplishment for a hip-hop song.
