"Pas de deux" was written in 2018, during Vania's junior year of high school. It was recorded entirely in her bedroom using GarageBand. After holding onto it for several years, she had finally had the chance to give the track some extra care and attention in 2023. It was officially released on streaming platforms under the name "PDD" on June 9th, 2023 and included in the new EP. The title is a nod to the pas de deux from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker, which loosely inspired the song’s melody and chord structure.
