Caroline described what "Pang" means: “Panging is used to describe hunger, desire, envy, nostalgia.” Caroline on the representation of the word 'PANG' as a “concept mood” for the album name: "I was having adrenaline surges right around the time I was starting to work on this music. I was traveling constantly and my personal life was about to become totally uprooted. One morning in England, I was lying awake at 6 AM, watching the sun come up, and had an adrenaline surge for no reason.
