“Oxycodone” sees Juice WRLD reflect on his drug addiction, facing the harsh pains of trying to escape. He calls out the pain as his “demons,” trapping him further and further into the addiction and helping keep him sane. Purps, the producer of the track, first teased the song on Instagram Live on October 17, 2024, where he played the guitar stems of the instrumental. A month later when the full song was played at The Party Never Ends’s Las Vegas listening party on November 16.
