Open Road is Marlo’s first single released from her EP Broken Lyrics and is an original song that Marlo partially wrote in the dark in an RV. The song was inspired by a 14 day road trip Marlo took with her family in the summer of 2017. She recorded a demo performance and uploaded it to YouTube on March 22, 2018. On January 11, 2019, Marlo released a music video she put together from footage of her family’s road trip. On January 14, 2019, Marlo wrote on Instagram “Written in the dark in an RV; an ode to driving far and letting go.
