“Only Acting” is Kero Kero Bonito’s first original song since 2017’s “Forever Summer Holiday”. Featuring noisy rock instrumentation, it stands in contrast to their typical electropop sound. Fans were especially surprised with the inclusion of glitch and harsh noise elements. “Only Acting” follows a social-media-age identity crisis, the song itself coming unhinged as its narrator spins out of control. The song was released as part of a single from their EP "TOTEP".
