"One" is the third single from U2's 1991 album, Achtung Baby, and was released in 1992. It was named the 36th greatest song by Rolling Stone on their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Bono has said it is "About relationships." The song reached #7 in the UK charts, and #10 in the US charts, and reached the top of the US Modern Rock Tracks chart. The writing of the song also helped relieve tensions between band members during the turbulent recording sessions for Achtung Baby.
