Adam Young told Female First that this song is about ''jumping off the peaks of mountains and taking flight.'' There are 2 versions of "On The Wing." One of them was released on Owl City's 2008 debut studio album titled "Maybe I'm Dreaming", and the other was released onto his next album "Ocean Eyes." The song is also used in Season 6 Episode 21 of One Tree Hill.
