A breakout single for the group, Saga released "On the Loose" in 1981, coming from the progressive rock band's fourth album 'World's Apart'. The music video for the track proved a popular hit for the then fledgling MTV network. Praised by the All Music Guide as a "fine single" from a group perhaps at their lyrical and instrumental peak, the song has been a staple of many classic rock stations as well as been featured in multiple multi-artist collections and greatest hits albums.
