London’s Stats have established themselves as one of TMR’s bands of the year, and their latest track, ‘Old Flames’, only keeps pushing their addictive sound forward. It’s one of the many tracks on the album that sees Ed Seed and Nicole Robson share vocal duties, in a harmonious, call and response-heavy duet. You can tell that the track had its routes in the simplicity and minimalism of live performance, but the band (and producer Tom Andrews) took everything to a new level of hypnotism.
