A very sexualized song tells the story of someone’s adulterous father. In the story, Mangum juxtaposes vulgarity with the presupposed idea of feminine beauty and purity in an attempt to make sense of the father’s infidelity with what at least the young person perceives to be a prostitute or something similar. By the end, the overarching theme of Anne Frank comes back into play- where Mangum evokes the idea of the purity of Anne Frank (Mangum has often talked about how she would have been his perfect woman).
