Written by Sade Adu and Stuart Matthewman, and produced by the band, the song was released on 8 September 1992. Emerging after a four-year hiatus since their previous album, the track marked a return to the band's signature smooth sound with a more refined and mature approach. It became one of Sade’s most acclaimed and commercially successful singles.
