''No Angel'' made its live debut at Charli XCX and SOPHIE's joint performance at Exchange LA on November 10, 2016. At the time, it was confirmed to be a contender for Charli's third studio album, with her stating that although she hasn't settled on a final tracklist yet, it "might be" on the album. The song was ultimately released on June 29, 2018 as the B-side to "Focus".
