Nice was the B-side of Crocheted Doughnut Ring's first single Two Little Ladies (Azalea & Rhododendron), released in October, 1967. Polydor was in such a hurry to release that track, that there wasn't yet a B-side available. So producer Peter Eden took the catchy piano intro of Two Little Ladies, slowed it down 2 octaves and experimented with different techniques like phasing and crossfading, and added bell sounds. The result was the song Nice. Pirate radio stations preferred the track over the single's A-side.
