Over a sample of Barbara Mason’s “A Good Man is Gone,” Guru is not only telling other ‘wannabe rappers’ that he is superior, he is showing them why with his lyrical skills and flow in this song. DJ Premier gave some background information about the track: This is the only one we didn’t have a title for. Plus Guru wanted another song on there. And our accountant had just passed, Mary Coleman, I used to call her Mommy Mary. Guru wanted one more song for the album but I was so depressed I couldn’t do it.
