Originally a mellow, acoustic track- similar to the work of Iron & Wine- this track was re-vamped in the rehearsal studio with the addition of an inspired bassline, created by Paul's bassist John Currie. Before the Housemartins-esque bassline, imagine this song to be the arpeggiated finger-picking section right through, with gentle vocals over the top- that's how the song was originally written. Despite only being rehearsed once, the band took this one into the studio a few days later and produced the version that exists today
