“NEW ORLEANS” serves as the intro-track to BROCKHAMPTON’s fourth studio album, iridescence. Recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studio in London, and produced by bearface, Jabari Manwa, and Romil Hemnani, “NEW ORLEANS” seems to be inspired by the 2005 track “Fireman” from Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter II. The title is likely a reference to Lil Wayne’s hometown of New Orleans. Throughout “NEW ORLEANS” there are mentions to BROCKHAMPTON’s rise to stardom—this is portrayed in Kevin Abstract’s chorus:
