Inspired by The Plain White T’s hit single Hey There Delilah, sixteen-year-old singer, songwriter, and guitarist Shawn Mendes' “Never Be Alone” is the second promotional single released off of his debut album "Handwritten". Being a fiction-based lyrical composition for Mendes, the song is notable exemplary of the young Canadian’s reasoning for his album’s title. Mendes announced through Instagram that the second promo song would be "Never Be Alone" and it was made available on February 16.
