“Needs” deals with the subject of betrayal. The character Verzache sings about in this song is that she’s left him for another guy, and Verzache doesn’t care, but at the same time, something is telling him that she’s to good for the other guy. The vibe of the song gives off a flashback 70’s type funk, with it’s steady drum beat, catchy bass lines, glossy-like guitar patterns, and classic Rhodes keys with lots of effects, but with a small twist of electronic enhancements.
