Way too jazzy and up-tempo, this live version is in no way representative of the mood delivered in the dark, sultry studio cut where the singer is almost confessing to the listener his love for his addiction. Although "Drugs are ba-aad, M-ka-aay...", the studio track of "Needle and Spoon" was really well done, and is worth hearing.
