Jeff Mangum wrote this song about Naomi Yang from the band Galaxie 500, who later wrote that she had discovered the song when someone from Neutral Milk Hotel handed her the LP and told her that the song is about her. In February 2023, an unofficial music video she created for the song in 2011 was released with the band's blessing. She had this to say about the song: " How do you direct a video for a song that was written about you? The first member of Neutral Milk Hotel I met was saw player Julian Koster.
